Scott,

I was visiting Christian's website.

He has a macro and I am copying the following line from him:

" Shortcuts "00" and "TM" call TXT2HTML.VDM and HTMLTABL.VDM (written by Scott Lambert). "

I take this is somewhat of a blast from the past. I certainly would appreciate an update.

Thanks as always.

Hi Peter,

Both those macros come with Vedit in your macro_dir folder, although txt2html.vdm is named txt-html.vdm. I believe Pauli and others went thru all the included macros and updated them.

Hi Scott,

Great and a big thank you to Pauli and friends and of course to Christian and Scott as well.

Do I understand it correctly: These Vedit macros allow me to import Internet tables into Vedit. For example it is income tax time now and I can import my medical expense tables from the Internet. Provided, of course that they are .html files. Then, I can total a column in Vedit. That sounds really cool !

Thanks as always,

Hi Peter,

I think the macro you want is htm2csv.vdm which is in the macro library. Htm2csv.htm converts an html table to a csv file which you can then import into MS Excel.
