Pauli has written a very nice Buffer Switch macro. It is part of his fileopen_131.zip package. His Buffer Switch allows you type in any buffer number you wish to switch to. This clearly enhances the Vedit menu command,

{ Files, Buffer Switch }

which gives only the Previous and Next options.

Now I would like give a mouse based Buffer Switch macro. Here it is:

Do_Visual("\ME\FBS")

I have added this macro to my USER_MENU. Functitonally, it is the same as pressing the F4 key. In fact I did look up the F4 key in my Vedit.Key file and translated that command using the Do_Visual examples in the Vedit Macro Language manual.

So, my Buffer Switch macro displays the Buffer Table and clicking on the buffer number and OK keys will switch you to the desired buffer.
